PIMS Group is a leading provider of mining, maintenance and technical services in the underground mining industry.
The business was established in 2008 by four directors who brought together their diverse professional backgrounds with the aim of providing a higher level of service than was currently on offer across the industry at the time.
Over the years, PIMS Group has expanded and grown from providing professional consulting services to being a reputable company of choice for underground mining services across the east coast of Australia.
PIMS Group’s footprint now expands across Queensland and New South Wales, with three office locations, an engineering workshop and a fleet of underground equipment hire.
We also work with six major mining houses and have recruited and retained over 500+ personnel across more than 20 underground coal projects.
More importantly, we are an employer that cares for its people, stakeholders and the communities in which we operate.
Our History
Founded in 2008 by Directors Richard Mills, Mark Johnston, Andrew Itzstein and Phil Harms, PIMS Group has a proud history of developing long-term relationships with its stakeholders by delivering innovative mining services and win-win solutions.
The PIMS Group business model has grown to provide services to stakeholders across Queensland and New South Wales and now holds an impressive portfolio extending from the Illawarra in NSW, to the Bowen Basin in Queensland.
Over 10 years PIMS Group have won 20 contracts throughout Queensland and New South Wales. Nine of those contracts were awarded within two years of expanding into New South Wales.
