We sponsor a variety of organisations to directly support the regions local to us. Our team is made of Queenslanders and New South Welshmen so supporting local charities strengthen the communities we were raised in.

U18 Junior Illawarra Steelers
The Illawarra District Rugby League Football Club Limited formed “The Steelers” to play rugby league in the major ARL competition in 1982. They played in that competition until 1998, before forming a joint-venture club in 1999 – known as the St George Illawarra Dragons. The Steelers now field Junior Representative teams for the SG Ball and Harold Matthews competitions annually, which PIMS is proud to sponsor.

The Mackay Cutters are an Australian semi-professional rugby league club based in Mackay, North Queensland. The Mackay Cutters are affiliated with Queensland Rugby League and are a pathway partner to the NRL’s North Queensland Cowboys. As a semi professional sporting club it is their goal to develop NRL pathways for our players while also striving to be the most thrilling club in the Queensland Cup.

Mackay Golf Club
Founded in 1925, the Mackay Golf Club started with a 9-hole course situated on the town common, which is now the Mackay Airport. After moving to the present site on Mackay-Buscasia Road three years later, the exhibitions, championships and celebration of the 60 year Diamond Jubilee were just a few milestones held at the club. For the true fans, the fairways and greens were Blue Couch in the early days but now we see the fairways with Geenleas Park and the greens replanted with Bermuda 328.
PIMS are the new Major sponsors, including the Festival of Golf which supports the Mackay community, Mackay businesses and the QLD PGA.
